What is Pallet Packaging?

Your item(s) must be on a Pallet and Wrapped before a Transport Company collects. Pallet Wrapping ( with industrial cling film ) secures your goods to the Pallet ready for Transportation. Wrapping provides no protection for goods and they must already be well packed in line with Our guidlines before they go on the Pallet.

What is Pallet Preparation?

Your item(s) must be put onto a suitable Pallet and stacked in a secure way. The item(s) must Wrapped onto the Pallet(s) and in some cases some items will require a number of different things like:

Black Wrap, for no visual of whats on Pallets
Edges for corners of Pallets, to stop item damage
Banding, for extra security and stability
Pallet covers, for waterproofing
Company Branding, for advertising your company
Correct Pallets, for weight, stability and size of items
Crates, some items need to boxed in a wooden frame

We can fulfil any requirements you may need for items to be Palletised, we can also advise in the Pallet Preparation process.

If you don't want us to prepare your pallet for you, then please follow these guidelines.

Preparing your Pallets for collection

All goods carried must be palletised and suitable for road transportation. Goods must be secured to two way pallets via shrink-wrap (including the top, where possible) or by adequate plastic or metal banding. It is advised that machinery is crated. Pallets must be clearly marked up with relevant address labels, these must be placed on at least two sides of the pallet.

Pallet weight must not exceed 1000kgs and dimensions of 1200 x 1000 x 2200mm. Pallets that are sent in excess of the above, will be charged accordingly on footprint area. All goods requiring a tail-lift off-load, must be securely packed on a four-way entry pallet (with a minimum of 100mm clearance for pallet truck entry), and weigh no more than 1000kgs.

Please ensure all goods are clearly marked with address labels on two opposing sides of the pallet. There is a facility on our Online Booking System that allows you to print pallet labels and secure to pallets.

Please ensure engines are fully drained and banded securely to the pallet.

Pallet Dimensions

Pallets should not exceed the standard size of 1000mm x 1200mm, and must be within the height and weight maxiums for the size entered, as below. Goods must not overhang the pallet edges.
